We spoke to the whole band Muse about their new album. The album has no name yet, but will be out in June 2006. Toazted spoke to the three gentlemen in a nice hotel in Amsterdam. The guys explain how the album is going to sound. Singer Matthew explains his lyrical content and tells lots of stories about the recording process and more! Recorded in March 2006.

We spoke to bass player Scott Ford and singer Greg Dulli (formerly Afghan Whigs). Their new album "Powder Burns", written and record in New Orleans, had just been released. We asked Dulli and Ford about the problems while writing, about the deeper meanings behind the lyrics and more. Recorded in April 2006.

In an interview Toazted talked to Johnny and Mark about Snow Patrol's Cd Final Straw, their busy tour schedules and their fast rising success:

"Guitar music is coming back! A bit hard to think a few years ago that we'd be in the top 5, that was reserved for Pop Idol acts - like Steps."

Scissor Sisters' drummer Paddy Boom sat down to have a long interview with Toazted during the Lowlands festival in the summer of 2004. We asked him about the band's explosive success;

"Some bands, right out of the gate just immediately blow up. It's timing and chemisrty. If there was a formula everyone would do it. We just happen to be the recipients of this thrill and it's an amazing feeling!"

We talked to a brand new Dutch Hip Hop duo called Pete Philly & Perquisite on the Lowlands festival 2005. In this MP3 interview they tell how they met, wrote their album and about the Dutch Essent Award they won!

We did an interview with guitarist Fletcher Dragge in 1996. He had just spent some time in a jail cell in Hamburg, Germany. Download to hear all about it! He also talks about his favorite punk bands in Europe.

We spoke to singer Mikael of the Swedish metal band Opeth in the Milkyway, Holland. The band just released their new album "Ghost Reveries". Mikael spoke about the recording process and touring.

Mikael about the former album: "Deliverance en Damnation: For this album I was writing in the night and recording it during day time."

We talked to the two guys of Nizlopi. With the video for 'JCB' they really scored on MTV and other big stations. Especially on the internet they scored big. They really diserved it because both the song and video are amazing. "Half These Songs Are About You" is also a very good album. When they were in Holland for a gig, Toazted had to meet them. The interview took place in Amsterdam, April 25th 2006.

We spoke to the American rock band Morningwood. The band with the great name played the Amsterdam Paradiso in May 2006. Toazted asked Chantal and Pedro about the music and their new album. Lots of radio stations played their songs so we were very interested in the band. This video interview was recorded in May 2006.

Ministry frontman Al Jourgenson was in Holland to promote his new record "Houses of the Mole". We did an interview with him while enjoying the sunny weather outside the Hard Rock Cafe in Amsterdam. We talked about the new songs and politics. Download now to hear his opinions of George Bush!

The Danish band MEW played at the Eurosonic festival in the North of
Holland in January 2006. Their intense show blew our minds so much that we had to chase them down for an interview right after they played!

March 2005. Mastodon played their first concert in Amsterdam. Toazted tried to do a serious interview with the Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor right after the show. We hope you like it... The guys played a wicked show in the Milkyway!

We did an interview with Massive Attack. Massive Attack formed in 1987 in Bristol and they were the pioneering force behind the rise of trip-hop. Toazted talked Daddy G. back in 1998 about their great album "Mezzanine".

"We weren't getting on that well so we decided to go into the studio and start working on the album on separate occasions."

Toazted spoke to the spolied brats of Lostprophets in Amsterdam. This time the guys knoew really well how to diss an interviewer. Tiredness was the reason maybe? Who knows.. Recorded November 9th 2004 Amsterdam, Holland.

We spoke to Danko and JC just before had to play the Milkyway in Amsterdam, March 2006. Danko spoke about the new catchy record "Sleep is the Enemy", about his lyrics and the new drummer. The band will go on a huge tour again in 2006. So watch out for them and try to see them live!

"The song 'Baby Hates Me' is a song about when you are kinda with someone and you both really want to split up. We've all been there, hahaha."

Not THE Infadels. Just Infadels is the name of the band. Their album "We Are Not The Infadels" will be released in January 2006. We got the promo already and spoke about their music, which is very nice and catchy. That's how we got into a discussion about pop music! Recorded in November 2005.

Cristian of Ill Nino did an interview with Toazted on their tour bus. Cristian was discussing issues about president Bush. He's very polical minded. And has an own vision tghe world's problems. Very interesting and serious interview. Recorded in 2004.

The British pop band Hot Chip played Amsterdam in July 2006. Toazted spoke to two guys Joe and Al from the band to let them introduce themselves to people who don't know them yet. The pop group just released their second album "The Warning". In this interview you'll hear how the band got together and which direction the music went the last couple of years. Recorded in July 2006.

We, again, spoke to Hard-Fi while they were on tour through Europe. In Amsterdam the band played the Milkyway and we spoke to Ross and Steve. Backstage we talked about how quickly the band got big, selling lots of records, how hard the music bizz can be and more.

"We only had 500 demo's and a big major record company just contacted us and signed us. The record have been in the charts for 20 weeks!"

Interview with Michael Franti from Spearhead just before the release of the album "Stay Human". The very relaxed Franti told us all about the recording process and more.

"The US takes all the natural resources from Jamaica, Cuba and other islands."

Toazted had an interview with the band Fun Lovin Criminals when they were in Holland to promote their new album "Livin' In The City." The guys were really funny and had a great time. Listen to this great interview! (Part 1) Recorded in Amsterdam, July 2005.

March 2006. We spoke to the DJ, remixer and musician Fink in a nice hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. His first 'real album', "Biscuits for Breakfast", will be out soon. But as a new singer/songwriter it still makes him a bit shy. Why?

"When I presented some songs to my label I said: The singer is a guy I met from the streets. Do you all like him? When the record was done I told them all that it was me singing...hahaha."

One of the best DJs on this earth made a new record in 2002, 'The Private Press'. We caught up with him and asked him what he's been up to these last few years:

"When you're gone for six years people always kind of assume 'oh he must have had a two year drug problem'."

Techno DJ Dave Clarke helps out Toazted for an unique interview. He went to the Milky Way in Amsterdam to interview the Canadian Band Broken Social Scene on the 14th of December 2005. The guys had to play a gig that evening and could find the time to chat with Dave before their show. We spoke to Jamin Orrall (drums), Nathan Vasquez (bass) from Be Your Own PET. The guys were very bored but could make some time to talk to Toazted about their album "Be Your Own Pet". After the promo duties they wrecked the stage of DESMET Studio in Amsterdam. Recorded in March 2006.

"German journalists: What's the scene in Nashville USA like? The scene is just the same as in every other city!"
