Durante il Dutch Pinkpop festival 2004, abbiamo appreso da Chris Hesse e da Dan Estrin cosa non devi chiedere agli Hoobastank in un'intervista e poi abbiamo scoperto cosa i ragazzi pensano veramente dei fan:

"When you can't give one fan the attention they expect, they hate you and call you an asshole. It wasn't in my fucking job description to come to the fan's houses and play nintendo with them!"

Abbiamo registrato questa intervista con gli Hoobastank quando erano in tour di spalla agli Incubus, nel2002. Doug parla delle sue influenze nei testi.

"All the songs come from personal experience of some sort and I think it's important to write about what you know. It's much more believable because you sing it with more passion and conviction."
